Send in your Moon Memories!

The UK Space Agency are asking people across the UK to share their memories of one of the seminal moments in the 20th century - the 1969 Apollo 11 Moon landing - and to tell their stories about how this moment in history has inspired them. A small selection of submissions will be shared with the public on 20 July 2019, the official 50 year anniversary since Neil and Buzz stepped onto the Moon.

The Moon has inspired so many people over the past 50 years. “The 1969 Apollo 11 moon landing was not just a pivotal moment in space exploration, but a defining moment for humanity,” British astronaut Tim Peake said.

People are welcome to upload anything from written accounts and stories of how the moment inspired them, to grainy photographs of families gathered around the television and newspaper cuttings.

You have until June 18 (thats only two more days!) to submit your memories on
